To communicate with you, we collect, for example, your name and your business-related, and as far as necessary, personal contact details. Additionally, we collect only data that is necessary or relevant for the organization and execution of our events, such as information about your education, professional position, and personal needs (like dietary requests or need for barrier free access).

For what purposes do we process personal data?

The data we gather serves exclusively for communicating with you, organizing and managing our events, and will not be used for any other purposes.

How long do we retain personal data?

We only store those of your data that are legally permitted for archiving and anonymized statistical purposes.
We put in place appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
Especially sensitive personal data (personal needs like dietary requests or need for barrier-free access) will be deleted after the conclusion of the event.

What data do we share with third parties and for what purposes?

We do not share your data with third parties, either in Switzerland or abroad, without your explicit consent, unless it is legally mandated or necessary for the organization of our events. For instance, we may provide your phone number to transportation companies to facilitate your arrival, or share personal needs with the seminar hotel, Hotel Schloss Gerzensee (www.hotelschlossgerzensee.com).

Which services or products, especially from third parties, do we use?

The database program through which we process your data is operated by the provider on a server located within the European Union.
To communicate with you, we make use of the MS365 environment (www.microsoft.com).
Our website is operated by Metanet (www.metanet.ch); we do not use cookies and do not gather tracking
data.
For public relations, we utilise LinkedIn (www.linkedin.com).
To facilitate virtual participation in our events, we use zoom (www.zoom.us) or WebEx (www.webex.com).
For the provision of videos, we use Vimeo (www.vimeo.com).

Photos

When you participate in our events, we sometimes use your passport photo on participant lists. These lists are shared only with staff from the Study Center or Hotel Schloss Gerzensee, and occasionally with professors and fellow course participants.
We occasionally take photos during our events. These photos are used to illustrate internal documents such as the annual report and for publication in program brochures, on our website, or on our social media channels (LinkedIn). We adhere to privacy policies when publishing.

If you do not consent to the publication of photos featuring your likeness, please send a separate email to
