Lorenz Driussi

Lorenz Driussi joined the Study Center Gerzensee in August 2018 after receiving a Master's degree in International and Monetary Economics from the University of Basel and the University of Bern. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor in political science. Besides working for the Study Center, he is also a teaching assistant at the Fernuni Schweiz. Before attending University, Lorenz completed an apprenticeship at the BEKB | BCBE. He writes his dissertation in the field of monetary macroeconomics. In his first paper, he examines the interaction between the zero lower bound on deposit rates, monetary policy and banking stability. His second paper investigates monetary policy in a small open economy with a safe haven currency and his third paper is a BVAR-estimation of monetary policy shocks in Switzerland.
